Supportive Measures
Supportive measures are non-disciplinary, non-punitive individualized services offered free of charge upon receipt of a report of sex or gender-based misconduct.
Supportive measures are designed to protect the safety of everyone involved, protect the District's education environment, and/or deter sexual harassment.
Supportive measures are provided on a confidential basis and are disclosed only when the need to know is necessary to enable the District to provide the service or when otherwise required by law.
Supportive measures may include, but are not limited to:
- Referral to counseling services
- Referral to medical services
- Transportation or parking accommodations
- Securing alternative housing
- Campus escort services
- Coordination with Campus Safety to develop a plan to address safety concerns
- Assistance with making a report to law enforcement or filing for an order of protection
- Communication with instructors regarding course-related adjustments
- Scheduling tutoring
- Assistance with transferring to a different section of a course
- Arranging for an incomplete, course withdrawal, or leave of absence
- Facilitating a change in work-study assignment or work schedule
- Coordinating alternative supervision/management
- No-contact directives
The Title IX Coordinator can assist with accessing supportive measures. Requested supportive measures, including those not listed above, will be provided as appropriate and as reasonably available.
