MSJC Students Present Honors Research at International Drosophila Genetics Conference
3/25/2025
Three MSJC students showcased their research at the 66th Annual Drosophila Research Conference, held March 19–23, 2025, at the Town and Country Resort in San Diego, CA. Biology majors Fady Hanna and Hannah Sofia Nadine Rosario, along with MSJC alumna Janelle Nelson, presented a biology honors research poster highlighting their work on Drosophila (fruit fly) genetics. The conference, organized by the , is a premier event for Drosophila researchers worldwide.
Their research was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Nick Reeves, Associate Professor of Biological Sciences at MSJC.
The Annual Drosophila Research Conference is a premier event for researchers in the field. It features presentations covering various aspects of Drosophila investigations, including genetics, molecular biology, cell biology, development, immunology, physiology, neuroscience, and evolution.
Congratulations to Fady, Hannah, Janelle, and Dr. Reeves on their outstanding achievements and on representing MSJC on an international stage.
