MSJC celebrates first annual Raza Graduation
ºÚÁϲ»´òìÈ's Latinx/Indigenous Alliance honored nearly 70 students at its inaugural Raza Graduation on Monday, May 9, at the college's San Jacinto Campus. The intimate ceremony welcomed students and their families with Aztec dancers, ballet folklorico, mariachi and student speakers.
The San Jacinto Campus quad was converted into a vibrant representation of MSJC's Latinx/Indigenous students for the event. The evening featured Student speakers Saul Hernandez-Guardado, MEChA club president, and Janylle Y. Basa, SGA president, and was capped off with a poem titled Soy by graduate Amanda Armas. Graduates who registered to attend the Raza Graduation received custom stoles commemorating the historic event.
