At MSJC, the success of our Black and African American students is a priority. Starting in 2019, MSJC became a leader in the state with its Equity Pledge, and soon after a Call to Action that demonstrates our commitment to develop and implement strategies and practices that support Black and African American students and stand against systemic racism. Review the Call to Action on the home page of our website to learn more about our efforts.

Our plans to create a culture of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility and our strategies to dismantle systemic racism reach from the classroom to our hiring practices and policies. We know it is important to bring visibility to APIDA, SWANA, and BSSW to learn about the rich cultural heritage and ensure the success of our diverse student population.

Please get involved in the enriching activities this month. These events are designed to inspire, educate, create understanding, and build friendships.

I hope to see you at one or more of these events.

Take care, Eagles.
